EnrichMonday Easter Special - The Brewkies Box
FOOD.
I love it, my dogs love it, and it's a whole lot better when it can be shared.
Yes, I taste my dogs' treats.. No, I am not crazy.
Brewkies is a local business owned by Pam and Craig Smith, located at 1618 Portugal Cove Road. Specialising in home made dog foods and treats, Brewkies is one of our FAVOURITE places to visit with the dogs. Their doggie cafe/shop sells coffee and treats for humans, along with a wide array of yummy dog treats and seating inside to take a load off. They also have a groomer on-site for haircuts, regularly offer walk-in nail trims, and have a great selection of toys and apparel.
For more details on their products, check out their website here!
If you're anything like me, self control can become a liiiiiittle bit of an issue when it comes to treats and toys. My boys are my world, and I want nothing but the best for them. So - if you're looking for a way to budget your treat spending, you like homemade goods, supporting local businesses AND you like free delivery - take a look at the Brewkies box!
The Brewkies box comes on a monthly subscription for all your treat needs. At $25 (+ tax) for a basic box, it has provided us with more than enough treats for two dogs and a few clients along the way! If you're looking for something bigger, there are add-on options for additional treats, fresh baked goods and toys to add a little more diversity! As an added bonus, there's free local delivery for St John's/Metro area, and shipping across the province is just $14.

This month's box was an Easter special, and featured:
6 x Easter cookies
1 x Easter Egg
1 pack mini carrot bites
3 x Deluxe cinnamon rolls (one for Kupo, one for Denzel, one for me!)
150g Heart of Gold (turmeric treats)
150g PB Ginger Snap treats
NOM.
I love the quality of these treats. The mini carrot bites have been the perfect size for training - my furry clients have been happily testing them out for me this week! I can recognize and pronounce all of the ingredients, there are no artificial colourings or preservatives.. Just fresh, yummy, and full of love. I also really appreciated the Heart of Gold treats this month - turmeric is used worldwide in humans as an anti-inflammatory, and has been shown to relieve symptoms of arthritic pain in dogs. As my boys get older, I like the thought of being able to combine their treats and food with supplements that will help them live longer, happier lives.
I also pull this face when I'm about to eat an Easter egg.
All in all, it's a fantastic selection of high quality, locally made treats. The price is SUPER reasonable for the amount of treats you get, and with excellent customer service and free delivery you don't even have to leave the house. It's flexible in terms of add-ons, and discounts are available for longer term subscriptions. 10/10 would buy again!
I can't say enough good about this company and their products - for the most up to date offers and goodies, check out the Brewkies Facebook page. Over the coming week's I'll be reviewing the BarkBox and BullyMake subscription boxes, watch this space!
